About Hazari

Hazari, meaning one thousand, is a classic four-player partition card game from Bangladesh. Each player receives thirteen cards and strategically divides them into four distinct packets: three sets of three cards and one set of four cards, arranged in descending combination strength. Four comparison tricks are then played using Teen Patti hand rankings: Troy, Colour Run, Run, Colour, Pair, and Indi. First to reach 1,000 points wins.

Tips for Hazari

  • Balance your hand carefully: putting all your high cards into Group 1 leaves your remaining groups vulnerable to being swept by opponents.
  • Remember that Colour Runs and Runs beat simple Flushes and Pairs, so prioritise making sequences even with lower cards.
  • Strive to save at least a pair or high cards in your four-card final group to capture the high point-value cards played in the final trick.

Questions about Hazari

How many people can play Hazari?

Hazari is played by exactly 4 players. Real players and bots can share a table, so a game can always start even if you do not have enough people.

Can I play Hazari against the computer?

Yes. Pick easy, medium or hard bots and start straight away. Bots only use what a player in their seat could see, so they cannot peek at your cards.

Can I play Hazari online with friends?

Yes. Create a private room and share its code, or join a quick match. If someone drops out mid-game, a bot takes over their seat.
